Princess Daisy is Sarasaland's princess. Tatanga, the evil alien, kidnaps her with the intention of marrying her and ruling her kingdom. However, Mario comes to her aid and saves her. She is more athletic (tomboy), as evidenced by her first appearance in Super Mario Land. She made appearances in sports, parties, and kart games. She has appeared in many games alongside Peach, as well as in Mario Kart Wii with Rosalina. She is related to Peach and Rosalina as a close cousin. She is fond of sports and athletics. Her name, attire, emblems, and special abilities are often flower-based.

The developers of Super Mario Land wanted the game to take place in a new setting, far from the Mushroom Kingdom, and Princess Daisy was created to play the damsel-in-distress role. Daisy was reintroduced in Mario Tennis for the Nintendo 64 after a brief absence. Camelot's planning department desired more characters with normal bodies for the real-life sport, and Daisy was a valuable addition after Nintendo suggested her. Daisy has since appeared as a playable character in most Mario multiplayer games, including Mario Party, Mario Kart, and Mario sports titles.

Princess Peach is the Mushroom Kingdom's princess, and she is constantly kidnapped by the evil King Koopa/Bowser. Mario, on the other hand, comes to her aid and saves both her and the kingdom from Koopa. She is frequently a "damsel in distress". Peach's favorite color is pink, which complements her gentle personality and kind temperament. Peach's gentle nature and damsel in distress role are frequently represented by her heart abilities and crown emblem. Peach's original design was said to represent her tenacious yet adorable appearance. Her crown is her symbol.

She has appeared in every Mario Kart and Mario Party game, as well as sports such as Golf and Basketball. She has a close cousin relationship with Daisy and Zelda. Daisy, Zelda, Rosalina, and, believe it or not, Midna is her cousins. In the Smash Bros. series, she appears alongside Zelda. Daisy is usually found in Mario Kart/Party games and sports. She appeared alongside Rosalina in Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart Wii.

Princess Rosalina is the Galaxy Kingdom's princess. She is a very powerful figure because her job is to watch over and protect the cosmos while also being the Lumas' adopted mother and commanding the Comet Observatory. Rosalina's backstory is told in her storybook in Super Mario Galaxy's Comet Observatory's Library. Because she is an unusual heavyweight character in the Mario Kart series, most bios attribute her ability to compete with other heavyweights to her role as the cosmic guardian. Rosalina's emblem is a Grand Star in the Mario series' spinoff installments.

She is a distant cousin of Peach and a distant cousin of Daisy. She appeared in Mario Galaxy alongside Peach, and in Mario Kart Wii alongside Peach and Daisy. She almost appeared as an assist trophy alongside Peach and Zelda in SSBB, but she was removed.

Princess Zelda is the main character in Nintendo's video game series The Legend of Zelda. Shigeru Miyamoto created her and included her in the original 1986 game The Legend of Zelda. She is a pivotal character in the series, having appeared in multiple incarnations over the course of three decades. In the series' fictional storyline, she is a princess of the kingdom of Hyrule, a friend of the protagonist Link, and the bearer of the Triforce of Wisdom.

Despite being the eponymous character, Zelda's story role is frequently that of a damsel in distress or a donor who aids Link. In many games, Zelda is kidnapped by the antagonist Ganon, forcing Link to come to her aid. In some games, she is one of the Sages or Champions whose bravery is required to defeat Ganon; in others, such as Ocarina of Time and The Wind Waker, she takes on different personas to play a more active role in the plot. She is established in Skyward Sword as the mortal reincarnation of the goddess Hylia, which grants her incarnations a variety of magical powers. In addition to The Legend of Zelda series, she has appeared in a number of spin-off games and other game series, including Hyrule Warriors, Cadence of Hyrule and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. She also appears as a playable character in the Super Smash Bros series.

Princess Midna is the Twilight Realm's princess. Zant causes her problems and transforms her into someone she is not. She has a close cousin relationship with Zelda and has only appeared with her in Twilight Princess. Link, too, saves her land and Hyrule; however, she is not captured by Zant and instead serves as a sidekick to Link along the way. A Twilight Eye is her symbol.

Princess Midna is a member of the magical-wielding Twili who joins forces with Link to keep the kingdom of Hyrule from being engulfed by the Twilight Realm, a corrupted parallel dimension. Midna appears as an imp-like creature throughout Twilight Princess, but her true form is humanoid. Yusuke Nakano created her and Akiko Kmoto provided her voice.
