  5. The Hynds Lodge is an excellent place to start planning your wedding. You can get ready in the lodge and then walk over to the amphitheater, which is only a 2-minute walk from the lodge. The Hynds Lodge has twenty twin beds and a large kitchen for overnight guests.

The Curt Gowdy Amphitheater provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains and pines. The amphitheater can accommodate weddings with up to 90 guests.

Hynds Lodge was built in 1922 for $25,000 by Cheyenne businessman Harry P. Hynds as a lodge at the Boy Scouts of America's recreation camp. Hynds arrived in Cheyenne in 1882 and worked as a blacksmith for the Cheyenne-Deadwood Stage Line before purchasing several gambling saloons and becoming wealthy. He became a philanthropist after becoming wealthy, supporting organizations such as the local baseball team and the Boy Scouts of America, as well as helping to found the Frontier Days Rodeo.

Hynds Lodge is built into a hill on Happy Jack Road (Wyoming Highway 210), about halfway between Cheyenne and Laramie. A clay tile roof adds ornamentation, and large, rough-cut granite stones were quarried locally and laid in courses. A large kitchen, a lodge space with a large stone fireplace and chimney, sleeping quarters upstairs, and a covered porch with massive stone supports are all included in the structure. Nearby, the south fork of Crow Creek has a large granite outcropping and cedar, spruce, and pine woodlands.

  8. Little America is a Cheyenne, Wyoming hotel and resort. The elegant ballrooms provide ample space for your wedding reception, while the manicured lush garden provides a romantic ceremony location with a pavilion nestled among towering trees. For your wedding, you have a choice of over ten ballrooms.

The wedding in Little America went off without a hitch. Aside from the lovely landscaping and magnificent décor, the service was excellent! We were able to stay within their budget because Little America has so many options for receptions (providing: tables, chairs, linens, dance floor, centerpieces and more). Their scheduler was fantastic. She was friendly and upbeat, and she was able to bring vision to life. The room was warm and inviting. During their visit to Cheyenne, their out-of-town guests were entertained by the pool and golf course. Overall, the prices are reasonable, the staff is wonderful, and the venue is stunning. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Their sales and catering experts can help you with any aspect of event planning. They can accommodate weddings and events of all sizes with their indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception spaces.
