The Gyrotourbillon I is one of the most expensive Jaeger-LeCoultre watches, with just 20 created each year. This clock has 679 pieces and is extremely complicated. The tourbillon is one of the most striking, as it eliminates the influence of gravity on the movement for the most precise timekeeping.

Just by glancing at the watch, you can tell it's an extremely intricate piece of Haute Horlogerie, with most of the mechanism exposed on the dial side. The most visible is the spherical Gyrotourbillon, JLC's seventh multi-axis tourbillon and one with a decreased size that allows it to share a room with other complications while remaining in a highly wearable 43mm x 14.08mm case size. Then there are the minute repeater hammers and the patented crystal gongs. But this isn't any ordinary minute repeater. It's one that's been programmed with four sets of hammers and gongs to play the Westminster carillon, the well-known song made famous by Big Ben's clocktower. Though relatively few are manufactured, this sculpture does occasionally make its way to auction houses.

Though technically not a watch, the Atmos 561 needs to be mentioned. The Atmos clock is remarkable in that it does not require batteries, winding, or energy. The clock, which was created in 1928, is driven by a combination of gases, temperature, and air pressure.

Reverso Complication a Triptyque ranks number three on our list of most expensive Jaeger-LeCoultre watches. The Reverso is one of Jaeger-LeCoultre's most recognizable designs. The original model included a dial that could be flipped to protect it from harm when doing strenuous duties.

The Triptyque Reverso Complication, which displays three dimensions of time on three faces, is a global first and a singular representation of the Manufacture's entire mastery of both classic fine watchmaking tradition and avant-garde technology. Jaeger-LeCoultre set themselves a goal a few years ago: to combine civil, sidereal, and everlasting time in the iconic reversible case. However, the Reverso Grande Complication à triptyque's accomplishments go beyond this: its manually wound mechanical movement provides some unique construction details as well as outstanding horological difficulties. It has a tourbillon with an elliptical isometry escapement on its front face, a design and execution masterpiece whose transmission method does away with the typical Swiss pallet. Hybris Mechanica a Grande Sonnerie is the most expensive Jaeger Lecoultre watch. In 2009, this was the most complicated wristwatch, though the title has since been taken by Vacheron Constantin. In total, there are 26 complications, including a perpetual calendar and a unique chime function that mimics the chimes of Westminster. The timepiece also features an intricate, 1,300-part flying tourbillon and a partially skeletonized case.

The Hybris Mechanica Grande Sonnerie is said to be the world's only sonnerie watch capable of doing specific chiming chores, such as playing the whole Westminster chimes song. The Hybris Mechanica Grande Sonnerie watch has reportedly achieved the holy grail of sonnerie timepieces.
