It's difficult to take the "strange" images and movies that circulate online seriously since there are so many of them. Even if it's true that the most of them ... read more...

  1. Since at least 2020, this Victorian-era image has appeared in online adverts, but as of yet, we are unable to fully explain it. Given that it was taken at a Belfast linen factory back in 2000, it initially seems to be just like any other image of a working-class woman from the time. A horrifying detail, though, becomes apparent upon closer inspection: if you look closely at the second row from the bottom, the woman seated in the far right appears to have an unidentified hand on her shoulder.

This one is very frightening for a variety of reasons. For starters, all of the women in the picture have their arms crossed, with the exception of the one on the far left side of the same row. Furthermore, it was impossible to alter a photo with tools like Photoshop in 1900, making it a more genuine "ghost photo" than most of the ones we see now on the Internet. Even today, let alone then, it would be difficult to replicate how the hand appears to be three dimensional and quite lifelike.

  2. We're not even joking when we say that Hook Island is one of many charming, little islands just off the coast of northwest Australia that can kill you in a number of ways. There have been numerous instances of deaths brought on by the deadly jellyfish that lurk in the area's seas, and the coast's jagged rocks have made it impossible to engage in any form of water-based activity. Additionally, the area is sparsely populated, which complicates and lengthens rescue operations.

If not for a mystery species discovered in its waters that we don't know anything about, the island would be entirely uninteresting. It appears to be an 80-foot-long tadpole-like creature that was first captured on camera by Breton photographer Robert Le Serrec back in 1964, despite the fact that we are not aware of any aquatic life in those seas that resembles it. Although many have dismissed it as a fake or, at the very least, an animal we already know about, the enigma still remains.

  3. A Belfast-based filmmaker named George Clarke uploaded a video to YouTube in 2010 that immediately went viral and had millions of views in a matter of days. It originated from Charlie Chaplin's 1928 film The Circus, or more specifically, the bonus material that was included with the DVD version of the film. It depicts an elderly person chatting on the phone while donning an overcoat and acting in a way that was unheard of in 1928.

Because the first commercial mobile phones weren't developed until the early 1980s, despite the short duration of the footage, it has become the focal point of numerous "time travel" conspiracy theories since Clarke released his video. Some people contend that the phone is actually more akin to a hearing aid than a phone at all.

That might be the case, yet the person in the video appears to be laughing and smiling; they even pause to finish their sentence before the camera switches to another scene. Some claim that the clip is phony and was later added by a cunning trickster to the DVD's extras section. Though it would necessitate replacing every DVD of the film currently in circulation, it is doable.

  4. Daylenn Pua, an 18-year-old inhabitant of Oahu, Hawaii, set out to climb the notorious Haiku stairs on January 27, 2015, a structure constructed during World War II to access the 2,800-foot-high radio station at the top. The Haiku Stairs provide some fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, despite the fact that they are not a particularly desirable hiking destination (the stairs are currently in a disused, decaying stage). Around 11:00 a.m., Pua began his hike and almost immediately began sharing live photos on his social media profiles.

Unfortunately, that was the last time his family or anybody else heard from him; Daylenn Pua has been gone ever since. The most unsettling aspect, though, was a minute element in one of the images. A man's figure was discovered during a more thorough investigation by forensic specialists hiding on the route and maybe following Pua. Although he is currently the main suspect in the investigation, his face is rarely recognisable, therefore this is hardly a lead.

  5. The Giant Congo Snake was photographed in 1959 by a colonel in the Belgian air force. While it looks like any ordinary snake found in Congo, the photograph was actually taken from the air. According to Colonel Remy Van Lierde, the snake was at least 50 feet in length, which would make it the largest snake ever discovered anywhere. However, we have no concrete reason to believe that such a snake even exists, as it would likely crumble under its own weight and eventually die out.

It’s still not entirely out of the realm of possibility, though, as the largest snakes – anacondas – can grow to be as long as 30 feet, which isn’t as far off. Furthermore, we frequently find new species that were assumed to be extinct. While some have speculated that the snake may not have been as massive as it appears in the photograph, especially in comparison to the surrounding trees, others have suggested that the colonel may have simply underestimated the size of a gigantic African rock python or something.

  6. Although scientists have no understanding how they are created, Naga fireballs, also known as "Mekong lights" or "ghost lights," are named after a mythical serpent in Thai mythology. Although we refer to them as fireballs, there is no evidence to imply that they have anything to do with fire, although we are aware that many travelers have captured them on camera. Around the end of each fall, these lights can be seen on the Mekong.

Though no explanation makes sense, scientists and other web viewers have tried to analyze the photos and the occurrence. Some say that every year, methodically assembling and tossing fireballs into the air for all to witness, flamethrowers on the opposite side of the river cause them. Although it's feasible that someone would have detected these mysterious shooters given the incident has been occurring at least since the 1980s.

  7. Although Tara Calico and Michale Henley are separate missing persons cases from New Mexico, they are connected unexpectedly more than 1,500 miles distant by a picture. The image depicts Tara and Michael, who are 19 and 9 years old, respectively, within an enclosed space, both gagged with duct tape, and with a resigned expression on their faces. It was discovered by a woman in a random parking lot in Florida in June 1989.

We still don't know where the picture was shot or what happened to them both in the end. Since Michael Henley's body was located a few months after the image was found and all suspicion of foul play was dismissed, we're not even sure if it's them. But Tara is almost probably the girl. Her relatives seem to be rather certain, and the V.C. My Sweet Audrina book is sitting right next to her. Tara's favorite book happens to be one by Andrews.

  8. Elisa Lam's body was found in a water tank on the roof of the Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles, which is now known as Stay on Main. As of right now, no one knows who (or what?) killed Elisa Lam. She was discovered on February 19, 2013, 19 days after her parents reported her missing, albeit the cause of death was unknown based on the results of the autopsy. Only because of complaints from visitors about low water pressure and blockage did they ever learn about the body.

However, there is a little video of her inside the hotel in her final hours that was recorded by a security CCTV camera in one of the elevators, which only adds to the eeriness of the situation. She was shown in the video making strange, almost inhuman gestures to no one in particular, or at least no one who could be seen.

The video is undoubtedly pretty disturbing, and it has undoubtedly led to a number of conspiracy theories about ghosts since then, but there are a few explanations here. According to the autopsy, Elisa had taken a significant amount of bipolar illness medication that evening, which may have contributed to her actions. That still leaves us in the dark regarding who killed her, the manner in which she passed away, or even how her body ended up in the tank.

  9. One of the strangest UFO phenomena we have seen around the world is located in the Hessdalen valley in Norway. People in the valley have reported strange balls and streaks of light in the sky since at least the 1930s, supposedly coming from random, unrelated spots in the valley, but no one has ever been able to determine their true origins. It is a phenomenon of light that first appeared in the Norwegian Hessdalen Valley skies in the 1980s. Light disks of enormous size and various colors are what illuminate the entire valley by flying throughout the Hessdalen sky.

Some people believe that the whole affair might be explained by simply having lousy weather, rather than by UFOs or anything else definite. Or, more precisely, they are "exemplary of aberrant atmospheric luminous phenomena that occur often at various locations on Earth," as one research puts it. That still doesn't explain what's causing them, even though it may be accurate and we lack the scientific authority to dispute it.

  10. The identity of Babushka Lady, who may be seen in numerous bystander photos and recordings of John F. Kennedy's murder in 1963, is still unknown. She was given her name by the media because of her Russian headscarf, and it looks like she was filming the entire disaster with a camera, but no evidence of it has ever been discovered.

The most peculiar aspect was the Babushka Lady's apparently professional conduct, as she continued to stand and shoot long after shots had been fired and everyone else had fled for shelter. A woman by the name of Beverly Oliver claimed to be her in 1970. Although she did receive some media coverage at the time, her story was quickly found to contain several inconsistencies.

This includes the glaringly obvious fact that she would have been 17 at the time of the murder and would not have resembled the elderly woman in the video. Her testimony is further undermined by the fact that the camera she claims to have used that day didn't go into production until many years after the assassination. The case has not yet been resolved.
