A flower has smell as a dead body
Fragrance is often connected with flowers, and pleasant scent is generally the first thing that comes to mind when discussing flowers. However, you would be surprised to learn that no flower smells as bad as a dead body. "Sumtran Titan Arum" is a flower variety that will alter your perception of floral aroma. Titan arum, commonly known as corpse flower, is a herbaceous flowering plant in the arum family (Araceae) notable for its gigantic foul-smelling inflorescence (cluster of flowers).
The plant is native to the steep hillsides of western Sumatra's rainforests, although it is grown in botanic gardens across the world. The peculiar short-lived flower structure is the biggest unbranched inflorescence of any plant and smells strongly of decaying meat. A titan arum is frequently a big tourist draw while in bloom, requiring 4-10 years or more between flowerings. Be wary of this nine-foot-tall floral plant, which might make you regret coming anywhere near it.
