Abdullah Al Rajhi

Abdullah Sulaiman Abdulaziz Al-Rajhi, who graduated from King Abdulaziz University with a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1979, was instrumental in the transformation of Al Rajhi Exchange and Trade Company into a public joint stock company. He is a businessman who has led six different firms and is currently Chairman of Al Rajhi Bank, Chairman of Al Rajhi Capital, and Non-Executive Chairman of Al Rajhi Cooperative Insurance. He also serves on the boards of Gulf Farabi Petrochemical Co., Ltd. and Al Rajhi International Holdings Group for Investment. He is one of Saudi Arabia's wealthiest individuals.


Abdullah Al Rajhi founded Al Rajhi Bank more than 50 years ago with his brothers Sulaiman, Mohammed, and Saleh. It is one of the world's major Islamic banks. Their sons now sit on the board of directors of the publicly traded bank. Al Rajhi also holds a part in Al Baraka Banking Group, an Islamic bank created by fellow Saudi billionaire Saleh Kamel. Other investments include cement and agribusiness businesses.
