Born and raised in a Midwestern town, it's hard to understand fashion, art, and makeup more than what's sought-after locally at Wal-Mart. However, around 1998, Alexis was lucky enough to be invited into her high school troupe, and a passion and curiosity for makeup began to emerge. In addition to her photography and theater background, Alexis attended the School of Makeup Design in Los Angeles and soon partnered with cosmetics giant MAC to diversify herself and hone her aesthetic skills. Today, you can see Alexis conjure up new creations in the studio, sweat it out at the venue, or perform the last romantic touches on a blushing bride-to-be. When she's not obsessed with curls in her lashes or brows, she'll go on the open road or on adventurous trips to keep her mind and creative antics fresh.

Of her art, Alexis says, "There is a great freedom when you are set to foot in two worlds known as mutually exclusive worlds: the World of Irony and the World of Spirits, the World of the Flesh and the world of spirit, the world of the surface, and the world of the depths."
