At the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt and the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Jay Wellons, MD, MSPH, teaches in the radiology, radiological sciences, pediatrics, plastic surgery, and neurological surgery departments. In addition to serving as Chief of the Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery and Medical Director of the Surgical Outcomes Center for Kids (SOCKs), which he co-founded, he also holds the Cal Turner Chair.
