Alphabet
Alphabet Inc. headquartered in Mountain View in Silicon Valley. The company is led by Sundar Pichai as CEO. Alphabet Corporation (commonly referred to as Alphabet, or informally as Google) is an American multinational corporation founded in 2015 as the parent company of Google and others owned or bound by Google. The list of subsidiaries under Alphabet will include Google Fiber, Google Capital, Google Ventures, Calico and Nest Labs. Not only that, Alphabet also boldly invests financially in many important fields in industry, technology and life sciences. Alphabet is almost a "collection of companies", of which, the largest is still Google. On the stock exchange Google Inc will be replaced by Alphabet Inc, and all Google shares are now Alphabet shares. The company's stock jumped 6% a few hours after the announcement, boosting Alphabet's value by $10 billion.
Alphabet does not own the domain alphabet.com, which is owned by Alphabet Inc of BMW Group. Instead, Alphabet has an interesting domain name www.abc.xyz. In the blog post, Larry Page also demonstrates the idea of each company acting as a letter in the Alphabet (alphabet) list, and the letter G is for Google. From the name Alphabet and the domain abc.xyz, it can be seen that co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin are great entrepreneurs with ideas that go beyond the frameworks, although the current main "money-making business" is still search, advertising and video. Innovative projects such as self-driving cars, Wi-Fi coverage by hot air balloons need different mindsets to drive growth in companies with different cultures. In addition, living and developing independently also helps subsidiaries to escape from the shadow of Google, go further.
