In 1900, its founder started selling Italian cuisine in Portland, Maine. Amato's Italian Sandwiches was founded in Portland in 1902. This business now sells a lot more than just sandwiches. This restaurant's food is consistently excellent. Nothing they offer will blow your mind, but when compared to the competition, this Italian chain restaurant deserves to be deemed at least acceptable.
