Amazon Prime Video Watch Party
Amazon Prime Video Watch Party is a feature that allows Amazon Prime members to watch TV shows and movies together with friends and family, even if they are in different locations. It synchronizes the video playback across all participants and includes a chat feature for real-time communication.
To use Amazon Prime Video Watch Party, you'll need an active Amazon Prime membership. Currently, Watch Party is only available for Prime members in the United States. Once you've selected the content you want to watch, you can start a Watch Party by clicking on the Watch Party icon on the Prime Video player page.
You can invite friends to join your Watch Party by sharing a link generated by the platform. Your friends will also need an active Amazon Prime membership to participate. It's important to note that the Watch Party feature is currently limited to web browsers on desktop or laptop computers and is not available on mobile devices or smart TVs.
During the Watch Party, the video playback is synchronized for all participants, ensuring that everyone is watching the content simultaneously. In addition, Watch Party provides a chat sidebar where participants can interact with each other through text-based messaging. This allows you to share thoughts, reactions, and engage in discussions about the show or movie in real-time.
