Ambev
Companhia de Bebidas das Américas, formerly known as Ambev, was a Brazilian brewing firm that has now merged with Anheuser-Busch InBev. Ambev is an acronym for "Beverage Corporation of the Americas," which is how its name is translated. On July 1, 1999, Brahma and Antarctica, two brewers, merged to become it.
The Brazilian Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) board of directors gave its approval to the merger on March 30, 2000. The organization's main office is in Brazil's So Paulo. According to market capitalization, it is one of the biggest firms in both Brazil and the Southern Hemisphere.
