American International School in Cyprus (AISC) is an IB school located in Nicosia, Cyprus, offering an American and international university preparatory education. The school, owned by Esol Education, has a rich history, originally housed in a building constructed in 1950. Initially serving as St. Barbara's Polyclinic, it transformed into the Hill Hotel in 1964 and later became the International School in Cyprus (ISC) in 1987. Esol Education acquired it in 1993, leading to its current name.

AISC
added the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme to the 11th and 12th grade curriculum 1994. The school's facilities, painted bright and integral white, include various buildings and rooms for student activities. These amenities encompass tennis courts, a swimming pool, outdoor sitting areas, a library, a theater, and covered play areas, fostering community among students from over 32 countries.

Languages taught at AISC include English, Greek, French, and Spanish. The school holds accreditations from the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) and the Council of International Schools (CIS), ensuring high-quality academic and social education. AISC focuses not only on academic subjects but also on preparing students with essential skills to become global citizens in the future.

AISC
collaborates with Stanford Pre-collegiate International Institutes, offering students an opportunity to experience college life at Stanford University. This program, initiated in April 2016, provides a two-week residential experience covering various subjects such as sciences, engineering, writing, and humanities. The program emphasizes creativity, leadership, design thinking, problem-solving, and communication. Students aged 14 to 17 can apply based on academic merit, and the application process involves submitting a letter of interest, academic work samples, teacher recommendations, report cards, and an interview with AISC.
