Amul
Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), an Indian dairy cooperative, manufactures yogurt under the name Amul. Verghese Kurien, known as the "Father of the White Revolution" in India, founded it in 1946. Fresh milk from cows is used to make Amul yogurt, which comes in a range of flavors such plain, sweetened, fruit-flavored, and low-fat.
Amul yogurt is renowned for using conventional fermentation techniques to create yogurt with a thick and creamy flavor. Additionally, the company uses premium milk from nearby dairy producers.
The plain yogurt from Amul, which is used in many Indian recipes, is the brand's most well-known product. Mango, strawberry, and pineapple are some more well-liked flavors. Additionally, low-fat and fat-free variants of Amul yogurt are offered.
Amul yogurt's cost varies according to flavor and pack size. However, it is typically regarded as a cost-effective choice. For instance, the price of a 250g pack of plain Amul yogurt is approximately INR 52 (US $0.25).
