Visitors can view the colonial contrast between the Germans and Togo's former monarch Mlapa III there. Undoubtedly, visiting this intriguing historical site can be one of the top reasons to visit Togo.

Four massive structures, including the five-star Hotel Deux Février, blot out Lomé's skyline. At the close of the 20th century, individual Togolese citizens invested their little wages in private buildings, which were typically built with homemade concrete bricks. However, the vast majority reside in rural areas and are housed in a variety of traditional village layouts, including centralized, dispersed, on stilts, or two-story conical mud huts like those of the Tamberma.
