Anse Chastanet beach
First and foremost, this entire beach is technically located within a resort of the same name. But don't worry, whether you're a visitor or not, entry is free. Simply park your car in the resort's free parking area and walk-in. Now, let's talk about the beach itself. Anse Chastanet beach has breathtaking views, especially the island's deepest black sand beach represents St. Lucia's volcanic heritage. It's also one of those beaches where you can hear tropical birds chirping in the background and feel entirely immersed in nature, as it's flanked by tall palm trees and other lush greenery.
On top of that, because of the beach's coral reef, there's fantastic snorkeling and diving right off the beach - no need to take a guided boat excursion out to deeper seas (though you can definitely do that, too). For those looking for even more peace and quiet, there's a lovely little walking trail on the north side of the beach that goes to Anse Mamin, a smaller and calmer beach.
Location: Soufriere, St. Lucia's southwest coast
