Ashland is a small town of about 2,500 people. It's in Saunders County, in the state's east, and it's so charming that you're bound to fall in love with it when you visit. Go Ape Zip Line & Treetop Adventure allows you to walk among the trees while balancing and navigating the various obstacles in the sky. Eugene T. Mahoney State Park is one of Nebraska's most popular parks, and it's easy to see why. Climb to the observation tower for a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. While you're in town, you should definitely stop by the Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum. This museum is packed with aircraft and spacecraft, and you'll enjoy wandering through both the indoor and outdoor areas to learn more about the history of these engineering marvels. The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
