Asker International School (AIS) is a new school recently established within the municipality of Asker Kommune. The school first opened its doors in August 2013 but quickly gained popularity to become one of the best international schools in Oslo. Starting with 5 grades and expanding vertically every year, the school offers an IB-structured curriculum.

Specifically, the school started in 2013 with 39 students and 8 employees. The number then increases to nearly 400 students currently, followed by 40 staff employed in either part-time or full-time positions. When studying at this school, students can have a chance to interact and enjoy activities together. There are various interactive activities taking place here that students always look forward to enjoying.

The special thing about this school is its curriculum. There are certain learning classes for each students from different ages. However, Asker International School has its own way of letting its students interact. It usually holds activities to let students of distinguished ages join together. This makes them create some valuable skills such as empathy, understanding, and leadership as well. Moreover, this kind of activity also reduces the competitive nature of peer play.

Today, Asker International School is a MOT school and a Dyleksi Norge School. AIS has students and staff from over 40 nationalities within its school community and it looks forward to expanding this representation that provides it with a truly international environment.
