At the End of the Road
Popular guys' love (BL) manhwa "At the End of the Road" was written and illustrated by Haribo. Since it started serialization in 2017, it has gained a passionate following. The narrative centers on Hak-Gyu, a young guy who was raised in an orphanage and has felt unwelcome and invisible his whole life. All of that changes, though, when he gets an enigmatic letter from his brother, who has been absent for a long time, inviting him to move in with him and his roommate.
After moving to Seoul, Hak-Gyu moved in with his brother Myeong-Un and roommate Jun in an apartment. Hak-Gyu meets Jun as he adjusts to his new life. Jun is a quiet, mysterious person who appears to be concealing a traumatic history. As the narrative progresses, a simmering relationship between Hak-Gyu and Jun grows. They successfully negotiate their complex emotions, inner demons, and historical obstacles. Their bond grows stronger as they travel together and learn more about each other than they first thought.
The beautiful artwork, character development, and heartbreaking narration of "At the End of the Road" are well-known. Themes of healing, self-acceptance, and the transformational power of love are all explored. The manhwa has received appreciation for its capacity to touch readers' emotions, subtle representation of LGBTQ+ relationships, and emotional depth.
