Auli
Auli is a hill town in the Indian state of Uttarakhand's Garhwal area. Its name, Auli, which means "meadows", was appropriately formed from the topographic features of the area. Auli is lauded as a location where nature comes to life in all its beauty and majesty. It has abundant natural resources and offers a beautiful view of the hills in the area. Wildflowers and trees like deodar, oak, coniferous, and pine forests are abundant in the hill station. The slopes here are as high as 9000 feet above sea level and offer stunning views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks; like that of Nanda Devi, Kamet, Dunagiri, and Mana Parvat. There are a number of attractions here at the hill station. The most famous one amongst tourists is the ropeway.
Skiing can be well experienced at Auli, which is also renowned as the skiing capital of India. This exhilarating experience is available during the winter and draws fans from all around the world. Auli also offers trekking excursions to adjacent mountains like Kwani Bugyal and Guarso. In and around Auli, camping is a nice option as well. The hill station is located on a slope that is high in altitude but is also surrounded by dense vegetation of deodars and oaks. This controls the pace of the wind blowing here and thus, giving Auli a pleasant environment.
