The Bank of China is the second Asian bank on our list and the first of the "Big Four." The Bank of China is the most globally focused of China's commercial banks. BOC has been in business in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles since 1981, making it the country's largest and oldest Chinese bank.
It is one of China's four largest state-owned commercial banks, and it was created in 1912 by the republican government, making it the country's oldest bank.
