Basilico

Basilico restaurant was opened in 2016 and has fast become one of the best restaurants in Botswana. The restaurant sits in the city center, near the state house and the UN palace, aiming to cater for the middle and high-society of the town. It can accommodate up to 60 people on average and offers a wide range of Italian meals, as well as a fine selection of Italian wines. The restaurant features a great, welcoming ambiance, with the restaurant built up in an attractive Italian farm house setting, as well as a bar and a small deli where you can buy a variety of Italian products.

The restaurant was opened in memory of Bernie Madeleyn and Chef Fabio Riondino, the husbands of the current owners, who died due to tragic events. The cuisine is rounded off by a large selection of homemade desserts and pastries, which will be served at lunch, supper, and tea time. It will be updated once a month with new recipes in order to provide loyal customers with a constant surprise when they visit Basilico.
