Berghaus

Berghaus was founded in 1966 by climbers and mountaineers Peter Lockey and Gordon Davison. At originally, Berghaus was an importer and dealer of outdoor items. Based in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear, North East England, they began designing and manufacturing their own items in 1972 to sell in their own retail store LD Mountain Centre in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Berghaus has continued to develop and dominate the outdoor industry since then, and is a brand that is widely utilized by athletes, explorers, and casual walkers alike. They have been preparing individuals for adventurous getaways for almost 50 years.
