Berkshires, Massachusetts
The Berkshires are famed for its mountains and little communities in rural Western Massachusetts. It's a favorite romantic escape from Boston and New York City, both of which are around three hours distant. Unlike other glitzy areas, the Berkshires provide you with a sense of idyllic, intimacy, and healing for your spirit and your partner's soul.
Here, you and your lover will have a chance to run away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The Berkshires are stunningly lovely in the fall, with brilliant foliage. So many outdoor activities like hiking paths for all skill levels, as well as parts of the Appalachian Trail, are available here. If trekking isn't your style, you may still drive to the scenic peak. On a clear day, the panoramic views from the peak extend as far as Vermont and New Hampshire and on a clear night, you will be able to die from the stars. A trip to the countryside would be incomplete without a stop at a local farm. Another favorite pastime is fruit and vegetable picking; depending on the season, you may find apples, maize, berries, and pumpkins. Some farms even let you cut your own bouquets.
