Berlin, Germany

Berlin - the capital of Germany is the next spot you should put on your list of destinations to celebrate New Year's Eve in Europe. Being a very famous city itself with numerous tourist attractions and countless parties, Berlin attracts an incredible number of tourists all year long. However, in New Year, this place becomes even more famous, with exciting festivities, activities, and attractions, as well as unique New Year's customs for you to experience.

In the "Straße des 17. Juni" Street between Brandenburger Gate and the Victory Column, Berlin holds the “Party Mile” event with music stages, party tents, and laser light shows. And of course, there are stands full of food and drinks for you to charge up your energy. The “run for the donut” event is another must-do activity here if you want to have some fun and won't be afraid to get "down and dirty". The event is held at the Teufelsberg and participants wear funny costumes to take part in the run. The one with the funniest costume and who make people laugh the most will take the win. If you want to take it slow and classy, go to Charlottenburg Palace or Gendarmenmarkt and get yourself a ticket to one of the classical music concerts there.

And of course, don't forget to join thousands of people to enjoy the firework festival. On the last evening of the year, the city comes alive with impressive fireworks galore in some of the most famous tourist spots of Berlin.
