Berlinale Film Festival in Berlin
The Berlin International Film Festival normally referred to as the Berlinale, is a movie pageant held yearly in Berlin, Germany. Founded in West Berlin in 1951, the pageant has been held each February since 1978 and is one in every of the "Big Three" along the Venice Film Festival in Italy and the Cannes Film Festival in France. Since 2019, Mariette Rissenbeek has been the pageant's government director; Carlo Chatrian is its inventive director.
With around 300,000 tickets bought and 500,000 admissions every year, it has the biggest public attendance of any annual movie pageant. Up to four hundred movies are shown in numerous sections throughout cinematic genres. Around twenty movies compete for the pageant's pinnacle awards, referred to as the Golden Bear and numerous Silver Bears.
The European Film Market (EFM), a movie exchange held concurrently to the Berlinale, is a prime enterprise assembly for the global movie circuit. The change honestly serves distributors, movie buyers, producers, financiers and co-manufacturing agents. The Berlinale Talents, a week-length collection of lectures and workshops, is a meeting of younger filmmakers held in partnership with the pageant.
