Bhuj: The Pride of India
Bhuj: The Pride of India is a 2021 Indian Hindi-language war film directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya and produced by Bhushan Kumar under the banner of T-Series Films in collaboration with Ajay Devgn Ffilms and Select Media Holdings. The film stars Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt, Rana Daggubati, Sharad Kelkar, Ammy Virk, Nora Fatehi, and Pranitha Subhash. The film depicts the story of 300 women from Bhuj, who, under the leadership of Vijay Karnik, an IAF Squadron Leader, played a pivotal role in the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War.
In the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War, the Bhuj airbase is attacked and a race against time begins to rebuild the damaged airstrip. Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik (Ajay Devgn) takes it upon himself to lead a team of 300 women from the village of Bhuj in reconstructing the airstrip in just 72 hours.
Despite facing numerous challenges, including enemy fire and inclement weather, Karnik and the women succeed in their mission, ensuring the success of the Indian Air Force's operations in the region. The film is a tribute to the extraordinary courage and determination of the women of Bhuj.
