Bishan Public Library
Bishan Public Library is one of the most famous libraries in Asia. It is also among the best libraries in Singapore. Most Singapore students like to go to this library to study, either by themselves or in groups. Even those who have already graduated express their love for the Bishan Public Library, claiming that it is a wonderful place to read books, think about what you have read, and draw valuable lessons from them.
So what is the beginning of the Bishan Public Library? It was developed in the late 1990s. The foundation of the Bishan Public Library was a direct response to the popularity of the Ang Mo Kio and Toa Payoh community libraries. In 2006, the library was opened to lots of fanfare.
On five stories, the library has nearly 250,000 volumes. There are also interesting bulging windows that can serve as reading booths - should you need a moment of alone time away from the mob. The structure has also received various honors and awards for its distinctive design and architecture.
