Boa Kwon
BoA was raised in Gyeonggi-do province, South Korea, BoA was discovered as a talent agent by SM Entertainment when she accompanied her older brother. In 2000, she debuted at a very young age. To date, BoA has more than twenty studio albums in her career, including ten in Korean, nine in Japanese, and one in English. In addition, in the television field, BoA appeared as a judge on the reality competition show K-pop Star (2011–2013), main actress girl on the television drama Listen to Love (2016), and acted as a host for the second season of Produce 101 show (2017), besides that BoA is also a coach for the third season of The Voice of Korea (2020).
Today, BoA is recognized as a Korean artist that is well received by the public worldwide. She has become famous in Korean music by her first album, ID: Peace B, And jumping into the world. BoA is considered the K-pop queen and hit model, she has made a wealth of around $10 million per year, with her main source of income being attributed to her commercial advertisements, television roles, and also from major contributions in the music industry.
BoA has the ability to sing in Japanese, English, and Mandarin, which also helps her find commercial success in China, Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore. Thanks to the release of debut Japanese studio album, Listen to My Heart in 2002, BoA has become the first South Korean pop star to breakthrough success in Japan, following the fall of barriers that had restricted the import and export of entertainment between the countries since the end of World War II.
