Bohemian Waxwing
The Bohemian waxwing is a medium-sized bird with a unique black mask and crested crown. They primarily have a greyish brown color with cinnamon-colored under tail feathers and golden tail tips. This passerine is beautiful because of the crimson feather edges.
One of the three types of waxwings is bohemian. The Japanese waxwing and the cedar waxwing are the other two. The bohemian is both bigger and rarer than either of the other two than the cedar. In North America, bohemian waxwings can be found living in boreal forests and building their nests on tree branches. Their diet consists of tiny insects and fruits. They are migratory birds that, throughout the winter, disperse in vast numbers into the northwest the United States.
