Boulder City-Hoover Dam Museum
Is located inside the Boulder Dam Hotel in the heart of downtown Boulder City. The Museum is located on the first level of the hotel. Hoover Dam was substantially more impressive during its construction in the 1930s. The massive structure's operation resulted in a construction project that had never been attempted before.
In addition, visitors may learn about the men and women who fought the desertification of southern Nevada to build this magnificent dam at the Boulder City/Hoover Dam Museum. The historical center has interactive, three-dimensional displays that depict more than simply the dam's actual development.
However, the stock market crash of 1929 and the subsequent Great Depression are included in the financial and social capabilities. Both were the driving forces behind the massive influx of jobless men and women who left their homes for the Nevada leave and dam project, which was one of only a few places in the country where men could search for work at the time. The exhibition collection includes incredible artifacts, pictures, reports, and captivating oral histories and sounds that give visitors a true sense of not just the danger and scale of the project, but also of families trying to live normal lives despite the circumstances.
