Bramble Haven
Bramble Haven is an atoll in the Deperre Islands. Milne Bay's gorgeous and peaceful lagoon is awash in vivid turquoise and azure colours. As you sail across beautiful seas, you'll feel as if you're floating in paradise.
Bramble Haven is a tiny atoll-like structure that is 17 km wide and 11 km long. A rectangular lagoon is surrounded by the five most notable reefs. The reefs are large and partially submerged. Punawan (51 ha), the little Duperre Island, Siva, and Panapwa Awanagamwana are five small islands in the northern portion of Bramble Haven that are also known as Duperré Islands.
Bramble Haven has been listed on the Tentative List of Papua New Guinea for the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2006 in the category "Mixed objects," which combines both cultural and natural heritage criteria, along with the Conflict Group, the Jomard Islands, Samarai and Lunn Island under the name: Milne Bay Seascape (Pacific Jewels of Marine Biodiversity).
