Brighton College's pastoral system is based on houses, with 15 divided by gender. Both male and female staff can be associated with any home. Each cabin accommodates 48 to 85 pupils and is overseen by a housemaster or housemistress (HMM) and a team of personal tutors. Matrons and housekeeping staff contribute to the well-being of boarding houses.
