Brita

The history of Brita began in 1966 when the company founder Heinz Hankammer had the brilliant idea of optimizing the main water source in a convenient and simple way. In 1967, AquaDeMat, a demineralizing filter for car battery water at gas stations, went into mass production for the first time.

From July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017, the company celebrated Brita's 50th anniversary. The first Brita products were made by hand in the garden of founder Heinz Hankammer. In the following years, he transformed the company into a leader in drinking water optimization. Today, Brita operates in 69 countries across five continents. Now with a new look and redesigned website, Brita is ready to catch up with the future.
