Bunge is an American agri-food company that operates in the edible oil market in Brazil. Oils, vegetable fats, flours, and baking pre-mixes are all sold by the company. The company released several brands such as La Espaola, Delcia, Soya, Cardeal, Gradina, Ricca, Salada, Culkin, and Primor.

In 2021, Bunge considered building a new plant in the Port of Amsterdam. Bunge intends to spend more than €300 million on the new facility, which will be built on the HoogTij industrial area in the Port of Amsterdam. It's a critical next step in Bunge's European asset optimization strategy, and it'll help the company achieve greater operational flexibility and efficiency.

Vice President EMEA Bunge claimed with the new facility, they will be able to offer a more diverse and innovative product portfolio of sustainable plant-based oils and fats, better positioning them to meet future market demand. The new plant plans to be built to the most recent technological standards, resulting in a highly efficient and sustainable facility with direct
energy savings of 40% and expected CO2 reductions of 90% by 2030.
