Carol's Daughter
Carol's Daughter was founded in 1993 by Lisa Price, who started making hair and body products in her Brooklyn kitchen, inspired by her mother Carol. She has named the brand after her mother's name as a tribute to her love and encouragement. Lisa sold her products at local flea markets and festivals and soon gained a reputation for her high-quality, natural, and handmade recipes.
She opened her first boutique in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, in 1999, and her digital emporium in 2000. Carol's Daughter has evolved into a multicultural beauty business, offering a plethora of hair, body, and skincare elixirs to suit every hair type and condition. Especially, The Monoi line, where monoi oil is the essential ingredient. It is made from soaking gardenia petals in coconut oil and has been used for centuries by Polynesian women to nourish and protect their hair and skin.
By and large, Carol's Daughter is more than simply a shampoo brand. It's a story of determination, tenacity, and love. It's a brand that values individuality, natural beauty, and self-care.
