Cave Cuvée, Bethnal Green

A wine bar in a cave does not seem to be a good idea. Cave Cuvée, on the other hand, takes its influence from the French wine bar kind of 'cave'. It's located on Bethnal Green Road in an old basement location, and it has hands down one of the best selections of natural wine in the city.

The team has a rotating selection of bottles open and available to order by the glass - you can scan the QR code to see what's on the menu when you visit, but you should chat with the staff for recommendations, or just trust their exemplary knowledge and letting them bring you a couple of glasses blind. A green apple-tinged Pinot Blanc from Andreas Bender, as well as a chilled Pinot Noir from Andreas Bender, is a must-try here. To end the evening, try the Margarita, which is glass-clear and silky smooth, or the Old Fashioned, which is slightly smoky and dangerously drinkable.
