It is one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities. With an elevation of 8,400 feet, Chaghour Ed Dahab is the third tallest mountain in Damascus and Syria. The mountain is located in the city of Darayya, which was a key location during the Syrian civil war and saw a huge number of people slaughtered. Mount Hermon, Jabal Tonnoura, and Jabal al Kharshunah are only a few of the nearby summits. Chaghour ed Dahab is east of Mount Hermon and southeast of Ej Jnéné.
