Château Nine Peaks
In 2008, Dr. Karl-Heinz Hauptmann established Chateau Nine Peaks Winery in Qingdao, China, covering an expansive 150-hectare area, 90 hectares of which are dedicated to vineyards. The winery is beautifully situated at the base of the Nine Peaks Mountains in Laixi, inspiring its name.
The primary grape varieties cultivated at Chateau Nine Peaks include Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Gernischt, Marselan, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Syrah, Alibernet, Chardonnay, and Petit Manseng.
Chateau Nine Peaks has gained immense popularity not only among Chinese consumers but has also made its way to international markets, being exported to France, Britain, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. They firmly believe that exceptional quality wines can be produced on the fertile Chinese land, becoming a testament to the potential of Chinese Terroir. Quality is not just a goal for them; it's a fundamental value they uphold.
Their approach to grape growing and winemaking is inspired by the traditional French methods, guided by the expertise of both Chinese and French wine professionals. They complement these techniques with the latest and most sophisticated winemaking practices from France. Their commitment also involves sharing experiences, cultures, and stories, fostering a strong and passionate team dedicated to achieving common goals through hard work and love for the vine.
