China Power Hub Generation Company (CPHGC)
China Power Hub Generation Company (CPHGC) is a joint venture between China Power International Holding (CPIH) and Hub Power Company (HUBCO), two major energy companies from China and Pakistan, respectively. The company was established to develop and operate a coal-fired power plant in Hub, Balochistan, Pakistan.
The CPHGC power plant is a significant project under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which aims to enhance Pakistan's infrastructure and energy sectors. The power plant has a total installed capacity of 1,320 megawatts (MW) and consists of two 660 MW units. It utilizes advanced supercritical technology to maximize efficiency and minimize environmental impact.
