Christ Church – Windhoek, Namibia.
The Christ Church (or Christuskirche) is an historic landmark and Lutheran church in Windhoek, Namibia, belonging to the German-talking Evangelical Lutheran Church in Namibia. It modified into layout through the manner of approach of architect Gottlieb Redecker.
The church modified into built following the wars most of the Germans and the Khoikhoi, Herero, and Owambo. The foundation stone modified into laid on 11 August 1907, at the same time as on 16 October 1910, the church modified into officially dedicated. It modified into to begin with referred to as the Church of Peace.
Christ Church modified into made from quartz sandstone mined from the region of Avis Dam. It has a mixture of neo-Romanesque, Art Nouveau, and Gothic revival influences. Its spire is 24 m (seventy-9 ft) high.
