Chuan Body + Soul at The Langham

The Langham New York Fifth Avenue is heavy on flair and adds a touch of refinement to the concrete facades in the busy neighborhood of Midtown Manhattan with its massive overhanging canopy furnished with rows of exposed light bulbs and two regal flags displaying its name. It is also one of the Best Spa Hotels in NYC. After passing through the big rotating doors, you are met by a couple striking Alex Katz oil paintings behind the reception desk and an Ada Katz print behind the coffee table.

Katz really created every piece of art in the hotel, a collection of 10 unique paintings that are worth $2 million. The gallery, a third-floor event area, houses the other pieces of art. However, reproductions may be found throughout the remainder of the hotel, some of which are provided exclusively for the Langham. Each room's dark brown wood furnishings are balanced out by neutral tones including beige, ivory, taupe, black, gray, and varying hues of white and blue.

Many of the rooms are encircled by floor to ceiling glass windows. The hotel's Chuan Body + Soul Spa, a full-service spa with three treatment rooms, including a couples room, offers bath items in the in-room amenities. The spa also features saunas with pink Himalayan salt walls and separate steam rooms for men and women.
