Clean Your Pool
In the summer, a pool comes into its own, so make sure it's in good working order. You should check that your pool pump is working properly so that there is adequate water circulation; this will aid in the prevention of dirt buildup. You should also clean out your skimmer baskets and check your filter.
Importantly, you must scoop out any larger debris and scrub the pool's walls, as well as any steps or ladders. You must also ensure that the chemical level is correct (via testing), and you may need to add additional sanitizing chemicals (known as shocking).
Although getting your pool ready for summer can be a lot of work, it's worth it to know you have a clean, safe swimming spot to enjoy with your family.
