Container Cabin in the Catskills in Saugerties, NY
It has a wood stove, sofa bed, kitchenette, record player, terrace, bathroom, fire ring, yoga platform, 30-foot waterfall, and a hammock. This is one of four four-season shipping container cabins. It has a toilet and a common sauna, and it is off the grid. It is two hours north of New York City and occupies 20 acres.
The kitchen has a two-burner propane cooktop and a sink that are both completely functional. There is a cooler for your ice and perishables but no refrigerator. There are enough pots, pans, and essentials to cook anything you desire. We frequently prepare food on the grill by the fire. If you know how to start a fire, the wood stove will keep warm all night. If not, you'll be up at 4 a.m. lighting it once more. The container stays cool in the summer because of a breeze coming off the 3,645-foot Kaaterskill High Peak, and the sound of the waterfall will put you to sleep.
All guests are given access to drinkable water. When you use the foot pump, the water is running. In the home, there are touch-sensitive LED lights. The new compost toilet is located 30 feet from the cabin in a tiny outbuilding surrounded by trees. The container doesn't have much room for storing. Simply bring the necessities in and maintain order to make the space more comfortable. There is plenty of space outside the campfire to smoke; smoking is not permitted within.
