Travelers who have been to Amsterdam or Copenhagen before will experience déjà vu when they first land at this small Caribbean island's city. Of all the things that attract travelers to Curaçao, it’s best known for its white sand beaches, crystal clear waters and stunning coral reefs. It is a Caribbean island, after all.

Curaçao, the "C" of the ABC islands in the Dutch Antilles, with Aruba and Bonaire completing the set, has been lucky not to have had any recent hurricanes and is currently developing its tourism industry, thus prices are still on the lower end. In addition to its charming mini-city and stunning beaches, Curaçao offers exciting off-roading and excellent hiking paths. Even during the Christmas holidays, flights from East Coast hubs like Miami usually have great prices to Curaçao.
