Current Gen 3D Game Prop Production offered by Michigan State University will teach you how to use modern game art production tools to produce a photo-realistic gaming prop. You'll collect references, make a base model, a high polygon model, bake details onto a low poly model, texture, and present a finished portfolio piece. This course is for students who already have some experience with 3D and game art and want to learn more advanced strategies for creating modern game components.
Throughout the course, learners will be using Maya, Zbrush, Marmoset, and Substance Painter extensively. When you're done, you'll have your own model based on a real-life prop that can be used in modern gaming engines.
