CWops

CWops, officially known as "The CW Operators' Club," is a global organization founded in 2009 with a dedicated mission: celebrating and preserving Morse code (CW) within amateur radio communication. At its core, CWops is a community where enthusiasts come together to share their deep-seated passion for CW and to elevate the art and skill of Morse code operation.

To become a member of CWops, people must demonstrate their Morse code proficiency by passing the CWops CW proficiency test. The organization offers different membership levels, each correlating with varying code copying speeds, thereby recognizing and welcoming operators of diverse skill levels.

CWO members actively engage in a spectrum of activities to promote and nurture the practice of CW. This includes sponsoring on-air contests and events such as the famous "CWops Mini-CWT" contests, held weekly to encourage participants to refine their CW skills. Additionally, CWops administers a range of awards to commend outstanding achievements in CW, including recognition for advancements in the art of CW and excellence in propagation.
