Dallas Cowboys

Since the late 2000s, the Dallas Cowboys have been the most valued team in the NFL. When all sports teams are considered, Real Madrid was the most valuable until 2016, when the Cowboys took over, and has remained the most valuable team in the world ever since.

Despite the fact that it hasn't won an NFL championship in 20 years, the franchise is the most valued in sports, thanks to its $1.2 billion home stadium built-in 2009. The Dallas Cowboys sold the stadium's naming rights to AT&T for an estimated $400 million to $600 million in 2013. Last year's operating income was $365 million, about twice as much as any other football team.

In 1989, owner Jerry Jones paid $150 for the squad!
