Dan Aykroyd - Crystal Head Vodka
Dan Aykroyd rose to prominence on Saturday Night Live and subsequently secured his spot in mainstream culture with films such as The Blues Brothers and Ghostbusters. He's still appearing in the Ghostbusters universe over four decades later, but he also has a lot of work on the side to keep him occupied.
Aykroyd entered the celebrity alcohol market in 2008 with Crystal Head Vodka. Long before guys like George Clooney, the Rock, or Ryan Reynolds tried to get fans drunk, Aykroyd was putting vodka in crystal skull bottles. The bottles were a great draw and have kept the company running for over 10 years, even after his home province of Ontario banned them for a period because the imagery of skulls and booze was reportedly too dismal. After a year, they removed the prohibition.
Aykroyd also owns the Lakeview Wine Company and is a partner in various vineyards that produce a wide range of wines. His ice wine was voted Canadian Wine of the Year in 2005. He's also won a slew of other honors. He is also involved in the corporation that imports Patron tequila for sale in Canada. Basically, whenever he's not fighting ghosts, he's getting Canadians drunk.
