Danner
Since 1932, the American footwear manufacturer Danner has produced high-quality work boots. Charles Danner established the business in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, with the intention of making loggers' boots that would last and be reasonably priced. Danner relocated his business to Portland, Oregon, in 1936 because he saw a chance to take advantage of the developing timber market there. In little time, Danner rose to prominence as one of the area's leading manufacturers of calked (spiked-soled) logging boots.
Work boots by Danner are renowned for their superior construction, toughness, and comfort. The business has been producing boots since 1932, and many of the same tried-and-true techniques are being employed. High-quality components used in the construction of Danner boots include full-grain leather, GORE-TEX lining, and Vibram outsoles. Additionally, many Danner boots may be resoled or remade, and they are made to last.
